Lycari
This place was certainly different from his home turf. Where he came from you could walk for miles and never see another person. Of course shifters had to keep their alter selves hidden with so many non shifters around. While a wolf could be mistaken for a loose dog, a stray horse or a big cat simply couldn't pass for local wildlife or lost pets.
Lycari squinted into up towards the sun. It was about eleven in the morning. High time to find lunch, which he hadn't thought to bring with him. However he didn't want to lose track of his fellow wolves.
"I've discovered that this city seems to have a number of individuals who are different, shall we say?" He gave his new acquaintances a lopsided grin.
"That's why I'm hoping to find more of my kind here. We usually turn into white wolves because we're generally quite pale when human.
"I've been casing the train station, but people aren't as friendly here as some places I've been.
"Actually, I've been slapped twice," he chuckled, "And one guy threatened to knock my block off."
"I've been keeping my eyes open for any clues," he continued, "And while you guys are good, I know where most of you are. I guess that's why I've managed to stay off your radar this long.
He looked down at his hands for a moment as if finally deciding something.
"If I'm going to be living here, I suppose it's better if I make myself known to your pack. Lately I've been itching for a good run.
"This place looks ideal for city wolves."
He eyed their sandwiches hungrily.
"Is there anyplace I can buy something for lunch around here? I couldn't bring a sandwich with me, but I do have pockets."
Lycari's smile was sunny and the light almost bounced off his white hair, accentuating his pale features. His skin color looked much more attuned to short, cold days and long, long frigid nights. His home was far beyond Alaska's most northerly point.
And if he didn't get out of the sun, he was going to regret it.
