BANE

AGE / SHIM / FOLLOWER OF ASMODEUS / 5 POINTS / BAZAKIIN (Mateo Lazzaro La Cava)

Bane is a powerful figure, flippant and fox-like, who tends to avoid anything even remotely resembling intimacy. It makes his skin itch, and he doesn’t want it — doesn’t quite believe it’s real, nor does he accept any promise made without contract. Instead, Bane has learned to control his emotions, for they are weaknesses that he has no patience for. Instead, he has adopted a playful, seductive demeanor and a mask of haughty overconfidence. A sense of rough, burning darkness attaches itself to him — like sandpaper clouds, flickering with fire — something angry, but steady, which dares the world to try him one more time. Bane refuses to apologize for any part of himself, good or bad. That’s his namesake, isn’t it? The one his parents, so long ago, awarded him, the one he used as his cover in the darkness of blankets and unwanted service, and the one he carries with him today. Bane is an ambitious, mischievous, strong-willed player, and no one can take him down. Not anymore. He’s a fighter, physically and literally, with an iron liver and knuckles of steel and burning eyes that shed no tears. Bane skips along his merry path with no true connections and no permanent bonds, his life’s ambition simply to find a specific man, and a specific blade, and smash them together in a magnificent, bloody release. Nothing less could be reserved for the devil that ruined him. Anything beyond his means to an end is just for fun, impermanent and unnecessary, and he’s happy like that. He is.
TUCKER PHELPS

6000 (appears 20) / SMITH / OWNER OF DESIRE LOUNGE / FOLLOWER OF BELPHEGOR / SOCORUS (SHAMEAR)

Tucker, born to the name Shamear, is nearly as old as the human race itself. He was among one of the first groups of humans tempted by the seven higher level demons, specifically Belphegor himself. He was given the name Socorus. His mission was to work under Belphegor directly to tempt more humans into damnation but the consequence of being enveloped by the sin of sloth made him very apathetic to his job, rarely doing the bidding of hell. Somewhere amidst the chaos of a war on earth, he slipped away from hell to live among the humans entirely, leaving hell’s politics behind. He’d still grant the occasional wish here or there but nothing to put him on the radar of those in power. He’d have many names depending on which culture he was hiding in at the current time, but in the late 1990s he would settle down in New York City to open a club named the Desire Lounge, granting wishes and living out his days in his own personal sanctuary.

Followers of Lucifer seek glory above all else. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

LOUD AND PROUD – Lucifer's demons have a knack for telling people they deserve it, even when they don't. They deserve that raise. They deserve a girlfriend. They deserve a nicer house. These demons have a knack for filling others with confidence, which works wonders for sure, but it's a false sort of confidence that only lasts a couple of days before deflating, and as they grow more powerful, it changes from simple confidence to over-inflating one's ego, which can cause plenty of problems and drama, which Lucifer's demons love to watch.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE – Cognito ergo sum, I think therefore I am. Demons of Lucifer, when powerful enough, have a gift of believing in themselves so much that they can change who they are. It's not just a form of shapeshifting; if they fully believe themselves to be that. Of course, once their concentration breaks, they stop embodying that reality, and the illusion breaks; it takes years and years of training to hold it longer for a few minutes, and only the most powerful demons can hold onto the illusion for longer than a day at a time.

A PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY – Demons of Lucifer can be more than a little self obsessed, but their dazzling personality and charisma makes lying easy. With a talent for putting things away in the dark, Lucifer's demons can tell rather convincing lies, and their natural charm can make it easy to believe them. Their real talent is that their emotions don't falter much, therefore making it near impossible to use a polygraph test on them.
Followers of Lucifer also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

RIP NARCISSUS – Lucifer's demons can be so self-obsessed with their own charm and beauty that they ignore and look down on everyone else around them, making their personalities rather unbearable. Just seeing an image of themselves makes them stop for a while, and they find any chance to gain more attention irresistable.
Followers of Mammon promise worldly possessions, pointing with a Midas touch. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

ULTIMATE RICHES – it seems Mammon has the most premium credit card of all, one with no limit. With the world's money in their hands and a limitless pocket, followers of Mammon can always find the right amount of change in their pocket, never running out of money for the small things.
Followers of Mammon also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

CASH ONLY – demons of Mammon, while they can grant worldly possessions, have the strange disadvantage of being unable to grant wishes that do not pertain to material things. They can't bring things back to life or give someone eternal life. Their powers are strictly limited to giving physical objects to someone, which limits their powers of persuasion.
Followers of Asmodeus promise worldly possessions, pointing with a Midas touch. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

DAAAMN – A subtle ability keeping said demon in peak aesthetic form without the need to eat healthy and hit the gym. It keeps them looking generally as attractive as possible with a supernatural allure. It doesn't mean everyone will fall heels over head for him, but it does mean that many will give them a second glance, or even a third. This power relies on heightening emotions such as attraction, there fore it can make someone who already dislikes them angrier when it is used on them. [introduced by Shim]

EYES ON ME – A demon can subtly invade another being’s attention span to “force” them to focus on him, both in body and mind. This means full attention on his actions, words, effects, etc— like an inexplicable “draw,” a minor fixation or obsession. This can make seduction more powerful, for example, or focus an aggressor’s anger on him. Overuse can result in the other person temporarily retaining the fixation even after Bane stops using his power, with a potential for serious cases of abuse to lead to a long term fixation (which is not always innocent). [introduced by Shim]

TRULY SENSATIONAL – This ability allows Bane to intensify physical sensations or create new ones (e.g. a sensation of electricity when touching an arm) with skin-to-skin contact. He can also increase the overall sensitivity of others around him within a 10ft radius around him; any wounds inflicted will retain the sensation levels as when they were inflicted, even after leaving the radius. Overuse of this power can result in temporary nerve loss or the hypersensitivity of his own body. Overuse can also result in the other person realizing something unusual is going on, though mortals often assume they’ve been drugged. [introduced by Shim]

IT WASN'T ME – This is essentially supernatural gaslighting. A demon has the ability to alter specific memories on a small scale, mostly in reference to removing his presence from memories or even replacing it with random or specific others. However, the more attachment or involvement an individual has with a memory, the harder it is to manipulate, and if someone notices the indiscrepancies, similar to lucid dreaming, they can break all illusions or in some cases, even change the illusion the demon has formed. [introduced by Shim]
Followers of Asmodeus also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

I NEED IT Following a demon of lust, they are bound to eternally serve their lord Asmodeus in order to corrupt mortals with sin. Lust registers as something akin to hunger for them, if they go long enough without “eating.” The effects of lust starvation can manifest as visible ill-looking-ness, weakness (in body, mind, and demonic ability), and even death on the mortal plane, which would forcibly return them to hell. Additionally, slacking in their duties can incur the wrath of Asmodeus himself, no matter the reason behind their slacking. [introduced by Shim]

CHEAT DAY When it comes to temptation, Bane is weak, and no amount of preparation or emotional attachment will ever really change it. This is especially true for temptations of the flesh, considering his alignment with Asmodeus. When he wants something, he simply doesn’t have the angelic conscience informing him of his vices; when he does, that voice is a whimper. Bane can’t resist if he tries. This demon eats, drinks, seduces, and indulges as he likes, and can only “resist” when it is explicitly in his best interest to do so. [introduced by Shim]
Followers of Leviathan are the envious sort, ready to crush all rivals and enemies by all means necessary. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

APPLE OF DISCORD™ – With the power to encourage envy, the demons of Leviathan have a talent for making people prove themselves. Any question they ask, humans will have a sudden need to vy for the attention of the demon, and to prove to them that they are the most fit for the job, spreading a feeling of jealousy and distrust among those who hear their words. However, it doesn't always work if the said human doesn't feel their words relate to them, or hold no existing pride for the trait the demon speaks of. Therefore, they must be careful to learn of their victim's pride and insecurities before using this power.
Followers of Leviathan also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST – Envy is a fickle thing, and even Leviathan's followers can succumb to it. They constantly fight amongst each other to gain the top position by Leviathan's side, which honestly, is a huge headache for the demon general. When a Leviathan follower meets another, it almost always ends up in a fight or a competition, and as anything, the loser is almost always sent back to hell.
Followers of Beelzebub treat themselves well. They are gluttinous, desiring to indulge in their pleasures as much as possible. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

ITS SELF-CARE, DARLING – With the power to encourage envy, the demons of Leviathan have a talent for making people prove themselves.
Followers of Beelzebub also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

SUPERSIZE ME – their unhealthy obsession with anything indulgent, whether it be beauty, sex, fast food, or luxury items, means they lack control. Their indulgence comes to no bounds, but they are not necessarily blessed with the unlimited riches of Mammon's followers. They have no willpower to reject their indulgences, and a demon can easily be tricked to do things once one figures what their key indulgence is.
Followers of Belphegor just don't really care. They're apathetic to the state of the world, to the problems of others, to what they're having for dinner, to everything really; nihilism is their cloak and their shield. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

ITS NOT A PHASE MOM – With Belphegor's followers, they gain power from the apathy of those around them. That is, if they see something happening and no one willing to do anything, they gain power. That also means when they're around people, they can fill strangers up with a sense of complacency, whether it's a fear of fighting back or a sense of 'all is right in the world' in their immediate vicinity. This spell can be broken by someone with a strong sense of justice who will actually do something; then the illusion is broken and people return back to normal.

SEX, DRUGS, ROCK & ROLL – Being around Belphegor's demons can also give people the sense of being high. Their scent is like a drug, where all worries and fears melt away, and everything feels like it's slowed down. They don't slow time down at all, but they can give off a feeling that time is slowed and things are much more relaxed when they desire so. It isn't a permanent feeling, and those who have gotten high before would recognize the feeling, and once someone recognizes and tries to throw off the haze, it breaks the illusion.
Followers of Belphegor also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

LAZY OAF – their lack of care simply means they're not all that powerful of a demon. Not because they don't have the same powers, no. It's because they're rarely fighters. They don't care enough to do so. Therefore, they're one of the most physically weak types of demons; their game is a mental one, and their lack of fight makes them easier targets.
Followers of Satan may be generic, but they're fighters, vengeful and given the wrath of hell. They're the soldiers of hell and they sure fight like one. They naturally gain THREE powers in their weakest form, and once they reach level 6, they can unlock a HIGHER POWER.

BERSERKER STYLE – Demons of Satan are vengeful, which means they've trained for revenge from day one Unfeeling and cold, they will fight to the very end and are not necessarily bound by human pain. In fact, it barely slows them down at all. This burst of energy often lasts a few minutes, or until the said fight is over.
Followers of Satan also have extra weaknesses. Their pride can also be their downfall. These weaknesses include:

NO PAIN BUT T-PAIN – Due to their inability to feel pain, the drawback is that pain is useful for telling them when to stop. Without that, they verge on the threat of going too far. Often, demons of Satan are found at the end of the battle in such a bad shape that they're practically as dead as their enemies, and therefore bleed out to death and must find a new host or head back to hell to regenerate.
