We're adaptable and resourceful just the same, and more than that, we have power in numbers. While our city's mayor, NAME, has promised to make New York a safer place for all, it doesn't mean we can't fend for ourselves when the time comes.

LINK 		Amberlee Grace Howard was born in Utah but has since traveled the country and ended up in New York City, far away from the place that caused her so much pain. Her chestnut curls frame a beautiful smile and loving blue eyes and help highlight her tanned skin. This young mother had to redefine herself after a tragedy early in life that pushed her down the wrong path. Since then she's worked at becoming that little girl she once was, the one who loved life and was kind to all. That girl who was outgoing and popular, talkative, and friendly. Amberlee hates the pity she receives when people hear about her brother and how he died, or even about the rest of her family, or even how she became a mom as a teenager. They look down on her, and it filled her with anger and frustration. Its when the kind, friendly mom, becomes her protective, hotheaded momma bear self. A complete change from how most people see her.

LINK 		The earliest memories Benjamin has, are that of a drunken man screaming at his mother and the loving smile she still shines his way. Dark brown curls brush his forehead, hiding his beautiful blue eyes on days he feels shy, or when he's ready to cry and doesn't want to show it. He's always tried to be Momma's good boy, even when he didn't understand what that meant or why Grandpa was screaming at his mom and sometimes at him too. The man that should have loved him as all grandfathers do, only hated him. He'd constantly called Benjamin a mistake, and told his mother she should have gotten rid of him when she'd been told too. Even with all that, and being raised in such a toxic home for the first few years of his life, Benjamin has become such a happy bundle of joy. He cries easily and gets scared just as easily by the littlest of things, especially by loud noises or screaming. New York may not have been the best choice for one so sensitive to sound as he is, but it's the furthest his mother could think of to get him away from their toxic life back in Utah, the one that had nothing but heartbreak.

LINK 		Hunter's quite fast on her feet and she knows several martial arts. Whenever she can, she goes long distance running. She's a sucker for a sad story and sometimes has a hard time telling if someone is on the level. She tends to trust her heart and not her head. Strangely enough, she's been right more than she's been wrong. She's very business-oriented and attended a local college to learn library sciences, which she hated even though she loves books. She has a good sense of humor and likes to crack the occasional joke. Although she says that she can handle life on her own, she'd love to meet the right man. She's in no hurry though. After the death of their parents, Hunter took over the family duties. For most of her teen years, she tended house and cared for her younger brother, Storm. After school she had a little part time job at a local bookstore. From childhood she would look to books for a way out of her small town life. Since she had so much on her plate, she had few friends and even fewer boyfriends. Most of her time was spent trying to avoid child protective services.

Who wouldn't be entranced? Somedays the world of an artist was all that kept him going. His life wasn't always an easy one and that showed up in his art, and on his body. Mikeal was raised by his mother after his father left when he was ten, and all he has of the man is his Russian blood, last name, and dark brown eyes. It's been just the two of them ever since, stuck watching the horizon for when he'll pop back into their lives and fulfill the promises he made. It was easy after he left.
