faithRuthie Brown, retired nurse, mother of Mikael Ivanov, and overall nonsense woman. Her hair has been white for years and she blames it on her son, and on her job. Life as a nurse was amazing, ever-moving, and eventful. She'd met many gang members, mafia, and more in her time. Creatures of the night and mutants a like. None escaped her, and many sought her out because she didn't care who you were, but how you acted. It's probably why she didn't allow this young child to escape her eyes tonight. Having just left the local Chinese restaurant, the old woman spotted a young child just standing near the road. 9 pm was far too late for anyone to be out that young. Approaching with caution, she called out "where ya parents at, little one?" As she got closer, her seafoam greens picking up on the dripping blood and immediately she grabbed ahold of the child, dropping her food without a care.

(Sorry, this is actually supposed to be a closed thread between me and faith. I forgot to put that in the title of the thread.)

Inara stared up at the old woman with a dull expression. Her body today was a young girl, blond haired, thin braids on either side of her shoulders fraying at the seams. She had the primal instinct to look right into the person's eyes. She didn't need another member of the hive, but the animalistic urge was there. If she did gain another member she would have less control than she already did. "I require food," She said simply before turning her head revealing a large blood stain at the back side of her head. The wound needed small medical treatment, a spray to clean it out, nothing more. To her it wasn't more urgent than food.
"I'm going to go now," She said before remembering she was a child, they were less formal, "You're pretty," She finished.
That was probably correct and a completely normal human response. The little girl was annoying, she was under developed, but she provided her with a long life span, different experiences. In that respect she was useful.
