The paperwork was finally done. It wasn't a lot of stuff, just some last minute product orders and some applications for bartenders. It was easy stuff, just a routine for the regular. After sending the last email, he leaned back in the chair, stretching his arms back, his legs kicked out for a brief moment as a yawn left his mouth. His legs felt a bit dead, as he shook them out. Now that all of this was done, he was going to get a drink.
7:20. Right on time for happy hour. It wasn't super crowded on a regular Thursday, but there were definitely regulars, and he always enjoyed the evenings at the Brooklyn branch. It was a lot more chill; there were less businessmen in their fancy suits, but the crowd here was plenty more friendly. Stepping out from the back office, he entered the bar, giving a wave to the an at the front of house.
He was dressed a little more normally today, at least. Just a brightly coloured polkadot dress shirt, and a pair of dark slacks. Still, there were a few people he recognized, and he gave them a friendly wave, before heading to the bar. Most of the seats were still full, small parties mulling about.
"The usual?" a young lady approached Hywel, grabbing the cups that were still in front of him.
"Yeah, can you ask Tom to add some extra smoke to my old fashioned?" he smiled, before turning to his phone, checking the messages he had been ignoring while finishing work. He glanced around, noting the different crowds, before seeing someone on his own. Weird. He swore he could remember that face; it looked familiar enough, but he couldn't really remember why. Grabbing his glass, he headed towards the man.
"Mind if I sit with you?"
