McRorie is a cu sidhe, a black dog of legend. His howl is said to strike fear into anyone who hears it. It is said that those who hear him bay three times die from fright. He is immortal. He can take human form, but chooses not to. In fact. it's been so long since he took human form, he doesn't even remember it.
Appearance:
He looks like a taller than normal Irish wolfhound with a nearly black coat. Since wolfhounds are already at least 32 inches at the withers, he's the size of a small pony. His eyes are a gentle dark brown, but when he is on the attack, they glow with a spectral fire and his coat sheds eerie wisps of flame. When a human, he would probably be tall and built like a dancer, with blue eyes and black hair salted with grey.
Personality: He is devoted to those he protects. A bit of a prankster, he often will play games on others. Mischief is a part and parcel of his fae soul.
History:
McRorie was sent to Hunter Dumont by Mrs. Wittershall, an ancient vampire with connections in many of the supernatural realms. She was very concerned that Hunter was all alone and very naive about supernatural things. She felt that Hunter needed a protector that could masquerade as something normal until needed. As old as McRorie is, she felt that he would make the best candidate for the job and she asked her fae contacts to ask him if he would help. He said yes, since he was getting bored hanging around church yards and scaring the bejeezus out of those who dared to walk through at night.
