It was a known thing that whenever he felt a certain way, one could find Hywel in a bar. Ironic really, when he owned one himself, but he often called it 'research' and the others would simply chuckle about how relaxed their boss was. He enjoyed everything about the New York nightlife, the 'not knowing anyone,' the freedom it allowed him, the drinks and the combinations, and how people just seemed more relaxed here. People let down their guard.
It wasn't any different for him. He had his glass of whisky in a hand as he sat in one of the outdoor bar seats, feeling rather relaxed. Usually, he'd have a friend join him, or perhaps a tinder date or something, but tonight he was on his own. Socialising with strangers was his forte after all. It didn't matter whether he was here on his own or with others, the music was loud and the people were boisterous.
He was already starting to feel a little more relaxed with the alcohol in his system. He turned to a man nearby with a smile. "Hey, sorry but can I bum a lighter off of ya?" he asked pleasantly.
