It was hard to slow down. The city was always so fast-paced, and being in this century itself always seemed to be one problem after the other. She understood, he thought. Of course she did. She was born in this same generation, of iphones and internet access and too many choices on netflix to ever choose from. He smiled still; at least he wasn't the only one who constantly felt out of his own depth. Life just seemed to always get away from him and he was forever chasing it in its footsteps.
"It's just one of those things we end up dealing with that our parents never understand," he chuckled.
He couldn't help but smile when she actually took the offer and gave him her number. He couldn't help but feel a little giddy inside, though he acted as if it was nothing serious. Blake Rusakov, huh? With a little sparkle emoji. He couldn't help the way his expression softened at that; how cute, that she'd add that little touch of her to the name.
He looked up at the invitation, before blushing just a little bit. "To be honest, I've lived here a year already and I still barely know the city," he admitted, "but there are a few places that...I've heard of and wanted to go, you know? We could always...explore the city together, if you're up for it."
Did that sound like a date? It probably sounded like a date. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or anything but if she accepted it...it'd be a date right? Was he being too forward? Or worrying too much?
