Dakhan
"Yes, she is," Dakhan answered.
He took a good sip of his coffee.
"She bought a store and converted it into a bookshop. The apartment upstairs was a bonus, but it's huge. She's got about five bedrooms as well as the other rooms like a salon and kitchen.
"It was sort of kismet that we met. She has the room and I have the furniture. Works like a charm."
He leaned back in his chair, cradling the coffee mug in his hands.
"So... what do you do for a living? I'm sort of a dealer in art and antiques. Thankfully, there's room in the section of the store that Hunter isn't using for my stuff.
"You can come by and have a look if you like."

Dallon thinks about how much his one-bedroom costs to rent and internally winces at how much a five-bedroom must have cost to buy—in addition to the store itself.
"Funny how the world works sometimes," he muses with a small smile. As more and more people flow through the coffee shop, a sense of normalcy slowly begins to seep back into Dallon's bones. He is comforted by the way the city moves ceaselessly around him.
"I'm a visual effects artist," he says, swirling the remaining coffee in his mug. The coffee, unfortunately, has only made him more aware of his exhaustion. There is only so much caffeine can do, he supposes. He tilts his head. "Oh, I don't want to have to make your roommate open up early just so I can take a look around. I can drop by at a normal person time."

Dakhan
He noticed how tired his new friend seemed to be. Perhaps Dallon should get home to his own bed, Dakhan thought. There was plenty of time to explore this new acquaintance when he was rested.
"A visual effects artist? That sounds really interesting. Do you work in films?" Dakhan asked, his curiosity peaked.
"Don't worry about waking Hunter up. She believes in starting her day early. With lots of coffee!"
He signalled the shop owner and the man trotted over with a big smile, "Could you please pack up the usual for me, to go? The ravening hoard at home is on the warpath."
"Of course, Mr. Bardias!"
As the owner put together the order, a daily occurrence, it seemed, Dakhan decided to let Dallon decide when he wanted to visit and not to push him into coming by when he needed rest more than anything.
"If you'd rather come over later, that's fine too," the vampire sorted through his wallet and pulled out a card.
"This is my cell number and that's the shop number at the bottom. We've sort of combined our efforts, Hunter and I. Just call up and if I don't answer, let Hunter know when you'd like to come by."
